Economical to buy and run
Compared to a UTV with equivalent features such as heat, AC (even airbags) and a larger bed area, the Daihatsu Hijet is very competitive. With petrol consumption of 52 mpg it won't break the bank at the pumps either!
Off road ability
Hijets have a tough 4×4 system, enabling you to get across pretty much all rough ground and mud to exactly where you need to be to get stuff done.
An engine built to last
The Hijet engine is a purpose built 3 cylinder unit that is renowned for hard work with a very, very low failure rate.
Generous cargo space
Certainly compared to the average UTV, the Daihatsu Hijet bed is big. Big enough to carry farm supplies, building materials and all sorts of stuff in meaningful amounts.
Adaptable load area
The dropsides can all be easily removed to give a flat platform for all sorts of equipment. The rear tailgate is provided with purpose designed chain stays to give an additional foot of length.
Interior comfort
So much nicer than a Polaris Ranger or John Deere Gator: AC, heat, airbags, comfortable seats, Carplay and even parking sensors!
Road manners
When the Hijet hits the road you will see night and day difference between UTV and Hijet. It has good road manners, even with the largest mud tyres (195 80 14 is the largest road safe mud tyre) and can be driven great distances without fatigue or noise overload.
